Access to nutritious, prepared meals can be a challenge for many college students. You can help a fellow gaucho in need by donating up to three meal swipes per week that convert into meal vouchers distributed by the Associated Students Food Bank. Able to be used at any of the three dine-in dining commons, your donation provides a healthy and delicious meal to a student experiencing food insecurity.
How to Donate
As a meal plan holder, you can participate in this voluntary program by clicking the button below and logging in with your UCSB NetID and password.
After you enter the portal:
- Enter the number of swipes (up to 3) you wish to donate for the current week,
- Attest that you understand the donated swipes will be removed from your remaining meal swipe count for the week and donated to a gaucho in need.
Changes cannot be made after you submit the request for the current week.
You can choose to donate different amounts each week during the donation window.
Donated meal swipes are deducted from your meal plan on the Thursday of the week you submit the form and are not recurring. Weekly donations start on Monday at 7 a.m. for the current week and close on Thursday at noon for processing prior to the weekend.
The Donation Window Closes Thursday at noon, and reopens Monday at 7 a.m.
