Event Spaces

These are some of the most common spaces on campus for hosting events. Please note, Campus Catering is the preferred caterer for any campus event and we can provide our services to any location on campus.

Corwin Pavilion & Lagoon Plaza  

As one of the largest venues on campus, Corwin Pavilion is the perfect venue if you are hosting a sizable event or conference. Additionally, you can reserve the Lagoon Plaza, the space just outside Corwin that overlooks UCSB’s beautiful Lagoon and provides an ideal outdoor location for any aspect of your event.

University Center Meeting Rooms (UCen)  

The University Center has seven meeting rooms that are perfect for breakouts or small groups. Most of these meeting rooms also boast beautiful views of the Lagoon and many are decorated with photos depicting the history of the campus and the city of Santa Barbara.

Loma Pelona Center  

The Loma Pelona Center is a versatile venue located on the west side of campus. There are two large auditorium rooms available as well as a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the campus lagoon.

Events Center (ECen)   

The UCSB Events Center, also known as The Thunderdome, is a large multipurpose facility that hosts many sporting, academic, and special events. You can really feel the Gaucho spirit at this location!

Mosher Alumni House  

Mosher Alumni House offers a nice and tranquil space to host your event offering scenic views of campus and the Santa Ynez Mountains. This venue has many room options and is great for small, medium, and large sized events or conferences. There are three main levels-- the Garden, Plaza, and Vista Levels-- and there is also a rooftop Sky Terrace option!

West Conference Center

The West Conference Center is a more remote destination showcasing the surrounding rustic beauty of UCSB. This location is great for campus retreats and includes two large rooms and two smaller breakout rooms.

Storke Plaza

This is a very large public plaza ideal for large groups and well suited for catered meals, dances, and exhibitions. The plaza is located at the base of Storke Tower, the most visible landmark on campus.

Goleta Beach

Just a 10–15 minute walk from campus, Goleta Beach offers sweeping views of the Goleta coast, the UCSB campus, and the Santa Ynez Mountains. This county beach has public restrooms, showers, barbecue pits, volleyball nets, and playground equipment.
